N ow there's a
medication that can stop a seizure fast. DIASTAT
is the first and only FDA-approved at-home medication for
the treatment of cluster seizures, also known as 'acute
repetitive seizures'. DIASTAT comes in a premeasured
portable delivery system, it can be kept with you at all
times - at work, at school, even on vacation.
Diastat is safe and well tolerated. The most common side
effect is sleepiness (23%). Other side effects include
headache and diarrhoea. Less than 1% incidence of
respiratory depression.
