In an unrelated story, a 40-year-old Spring man is accused of groping a 16-year-old girl in a hot tub during a pool party, court records show.

John Perone faces a charge of indecency with a child after allegedly inappropriately touching the teenage girl while at a party on Sunday in the 31300 block of Capella Circle, according to court records filed with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.

Investigators said Perone and his girlfriend were in a hot tub with several teenagers at a home off Lake Conroe. Perone began to move his hand up and down a 16-year-old’s thigh and touching her through her swim suit, court records show.

According to court records, the girl told Perone that she was 16.

Terry Schmidt, 26, who was also in the hot tub, and another friend asked Perone to leave after allegedly seeing him groping the girl. The guests thought Perone had left, but they realized that he hadn’t when they heard glass shatter.

Perone began yelling for Schmidt to come outside and fight him. The two began fighting outside. The fight was eventually broken up, and Perone and his girlfriend left the party for good.

Tomball police officers found Perone covered in blood and in need of stitches when they arrived on scene.Perone has not been arrested and his bail is set at $30,000.

In this world, we have a lot of crazy people lurking everywhere. Just read in the press that a woman struggled with the snatch thief with her gold chain, that he splashed acid onto her face! Such cruelty! She is now disfigured and cannot speak. She might be blind for life. Had she known this, she would have willingly let go of her gold chain to the thief.

Twelve women and two men at a Naples dance studio groaned in pain or in pleasure on a recent Wednesday morning.

They sprawled on their unfurled yoga mats, each with a ball slightly smaller than a bowling ball beneath their right hips. Their arms stretched above their heads on the wood floor, and one leg extended down, one out in front of them.

The corner of McGuinness and Kent, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, has undergone a minor face-lift in the seven years since my aunt Liz was struck.. The Budget Rental Center that occupied the east corner is now an Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and there’s a new BP service station across the street from it, in what used to be a vacant lot. You can no longer park on the east side of McGuinness, because the gas station’s driveway flows out into the street there.

Seven years ago, before the gas station, a row of parked trucks lined the curb, and it is for that reason that the driver of the Budget rental van, turning left onto Kent, was unable to see Liz as she rode her bike from the sidewalk to the street.

A few months later, a group of activists chained a white-painted bicycle to a signpost across the street from the site of the accident. Above it, a plaque states her name and the day she died, and how: “killed by truck.”

I first saw the memorial in person, along with my aunts and an uncle in January 2008. It was my first trip to New York. According to a recently published study by the Boston Consulting Group, top-down organizational restructuring and implementation of process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma can disempower frontline employees at a time when their employee engagement is especially important.

The research was conducted in partnership with 12 worldwide management organizations, including the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). A total of 1,600 surveyed senior executives gave input on 20 organizational capabilities. The customer satisfaction survey has been tabulated and the results are encouraging. The employee surveys should be conducted by any organizations from time to time.

“This research confirms the importance of strong leadership, high employee engagement and a collaborative approach to work within an organization – all of which depend on key leadership behaviors,” said Christopher Kinsella, CMI acting chief executive, in a statement.

In order to maximize performance improvement, researchers recommended paying attention to leadership, employee engagement and collaboration; improving people practices; and ensuring a company’s structure is clearly aligned with its business strategy, cultural goals and target behaviors.

This will mitigate resistance to change, which in turn will make business process management efforts more likely to prevail for the long haul.

However, the obstacles to BPM remain the same, with many efforts sunk by lack of engagement and resistance to change.

“You’re changing the way people work, and making sure . they don’t go back to their old habits,” said Elise Olding, research director of Gartner’s BPM group, as quoted by ZDNet.

On a recent Wednesday morning outside The Candy Factory, a warm drizzle fell and the sky was strangely dark for 10 a.m. as cars splashed down Seventh and Cherry streets.

The weather slowed the traffic but didn’t slow the activity inside The Candy Factory. In an upstairs room, co-owner Mike Atkinson places animal crackers on green conveyor belts so they can be coated in white chocolate before he adds a dash of multi-colored sprinkles. Nearby, an employee covers Twinkies with milk chocolate. Downstairs, customers mill around the store perusing not only the myriad candies it offers but also an assortment of kitchen gadgets, stuffed animals and party supplies.

Atkinson walked through the wooden doors into The Candy Factory at 10 a.m., 30 minutes after the shop opened for the day. His black tennis shoes squeaked as he walked across the wooden floors and greeted his workers with a smile.

On this morning, Atkinson was running a little late for work. He said he typically arrives at 9 a.m. and leaves between 5 and 6 p.m. As soon as he arrived, Atkinson walked up a staircase, lined by walls featuring puffy white clouds against a blue sky, to wash his hands and put on a white apron and blue latex gloves.

Atkinson and a handful of his employees are responsible for creating nearly all the candy sold in the factory. His parents, Sam and Donna Atkinson, bought the store in 1986 when it was in a building on Broadway next to the El Rancho. They moved to the Hetzler Building farther west on Broadway in 1990 and, in 1999, they expanded and moved to the current location at the northeast corner of Seventh and Cherry streets.

In a new interview, the Dynasty star is extremely honest as she admits: ‘I had it once in my forehead and the anti wrinkle treatment hurts a bit.’

The actress, whose fifth husband Percy Gibson is 32 years younger than her, insisted that dabbling with Botox had been enough to turn her off plastic surgery for good.

She told Glamour magazine: ‘Plus, you see all these plastic surgery nightmares these days.

‘I have girlfriends who’ve had Botox and been left with lumps in their faces. And the lips, don’t even get me started.’

The City of Fairfield in California, US has deployed a high-capacity wireless network wireless point to point to enhance public safety. Fiber was not available in the area and would have been too costly. After a careful evaluation process the City of Fairfield chose broadband radios to replace current wireless systems that were unable to provide stable bandwidth required for wireless IP CCTV camera video streams.

We are converting all existing wireless CCTV infrastructure to RADWIN 2000 point-to-point and RADWIN 5000 point-to-multipoint product lines.”
