I have finally booked and confirmed the flight tickets for 2 persons from KL to Kuala Terengganu by Firefly this coming Sunday departing at 11:00am, reaching an hour later at 12:00 noon and then departing at 9:30pm on the same day from Kuala Terengganu. The total cost was $695.00 for 2 including air port tax and admin charges. Firefly is a small propeller plane owned by Malaysian Airlines System or abbreviated as MAS. Tomorrow I will go down to KL with my colleague by car to KL on Saturday. We need to meet up with a sports coach there.

Last week, my boss has informed me that I will be going to KL this week. It will most probably be tomorrow or the day after. I have just finished processing 70 envelopes which is the third batch for this year – putting calendars and marketing letters into the envelopes, chopping the company address, pasting stamps, sealing them and finally pasting on the receivers’ addresses. Although I work from a home office, there will always be work every day, depending on the amount which may vary according to email enquiries, etc. Sometimes, I also need to type out invoices and delivery orders and email them to existing clients. Being the only employee who handles all the computer work, I have to work fast and be proficient in MS Word, otherwise, you may be overwhelmed with the amount of work each day.
Now at this age of late thirties, I have to shop around for plus size womens clothing in the departmental stores or shopping malls. As I love food too much and hate to exercise, I have put on some weight and my body mass index or abbreviated as BMI is under overweight or obese. Hence, the only clothes that can fit me are plus size womens clothing. In Gurney Plaza, an up market lifestyle shopping mall, there are 2 stores that sell plus size womens clothing and I love them for the variety and designs. Now I have lots of clothes to wear and the cupboard is loaded almost to the brim with my new clothes. Sometimes, I have to squeeze them in and am having storage problems.
Whenever I travel overseas, I will buy some clothes and my second sister also buys me clothes so that we siblings all wear the same clothes when we travel together. We have been to Bangkok, Bandung, Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen and some states of Malaysia like Kuching, Ipoh, Melaka, etc – all travelling together as a family. It is better to travel with my sisters than with other people whom you don’t know. So, whenever we have leave and some cash from our savings, we will plan another holidays together and help finance each other like someone will pay for air fare, another will pay for accommodation and ground tour, another will pay for food for the 3 of us.
I might be going to KL tomorrow for business. My colleague and I will meet up with a potential client there before we come back to Penang after 1 or 2 days there. Just last week, I was also in KL, also for business. It is good to have a thriving business where we can get enquiries now and then and some serious customers wish to meet up with us for the project. The only way to be rich is through investment, inheritance, marrying into rich spouse and doing a successful business. You can also be wealthy if you have a specialist talent and knowledge like being a lawyer, doctor, engineer, accountant, etc. but working for other people is slower to be rich compared to doing your own business. Unfortunately, 95% of businesses fail in the first 5 years of operation and have to wind down. Only the remaining 5% will strike it rich.
I just came back from Kuala Lumpur and had dinner at 600CC which is a Taiwan chain of restaurants in Tesco. We have a virtual office in KL where we paid for answering services in our KL branch so that any called directed to our KL office will be picked up by the answering service personnel.
The answering service is quite affordable and we pay once every 2 months. The business is more formidable by having a branch in the capital of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur and my boss does not mind paying extra for the additional address and fax service there. By having such virtual service, we can penetrate business in KL and the surrounding states besides operating from Penang. It is so much cheaper than to rent a physical shoplot or office and hire employees to run the office for you. We don’t pay beyond $200 per month and we get faxes emailed to us promptly and sms to notify us of the incoming fax. Tomorrow I will be travelling to Kedah to collect some payment for our business that has started over there for the courts installation. It is nice to know that your boss sees you as the golden goose that lays the golden eggs.
I have never tried canada tours but paid for asia tours in my lifetime. So far, I have been to USA, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore. I would love to visit Europe one of these days when I have saved up enough money to tour there. There are also cheaper national parks tours that you can venture on your own. Travelling is in my blood and influenced by my parents. They love to travel, even now in their seventies. This year, they went to Singapore and last year they went to Macau and China. Now my parent s are living the abundant lifestyle with good food and plenty to last a lifetime.
My dad never have to spend on his monthly pension anymore but accepts monthly contribution from the 3 of us siblings so that he can tour anywhere he wants to with mum. Their aim is to travel as much as possible and enjoy life to the maximum before their dooms day. Not all parents share the same idea like my spendthrift parents. They are more loving and caring towards their kids, empathizing with them on their daily struggles to put bread on the table for their families.
I love travelling and have been to USA, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Bangkok, Bandung in Indonesia and Japan. I would love to visit Europe one day and go up the Eiffel Tower in Paris or see Mount Titlis snow capped mountains in Switzerland. I have also bought business class tickets when travelling from Singapore to Penang by Singapore Airlines. There are also cheap first class tickets or Discount business class tickets that you can check out by clicking on the links given. I have a classmate who works for Singapore Airlines and gets to travel first class free when on a business trip.
Travelling is in my blood and I just came back from Hong Kong, Macau and Shenzhen last month after my birthday. It was a pity that I suffered leg cramps and could not walk too much. I had to rest a lot in between walking to recuperate but luckily my sisters were understanding and lugged along my bags. I don’t have to carry anything and walk empty handed other than taking my hand bag along. Both my youngest sister and second sister have been to more places and travel even more than I do. They have been to Europe which I have never set foot on. If I have more savings, I will surely visit Europe one of these days before it is too late and while I have good health to be mobile and visit some places of interests.
For many people, travelling is a luxury and not many can afford to visit so many places in their lifetime. But there is a cheaper alternative to travelling – by visiting tourists spots in your own country and travelling locally. I go for business trips quite often traversing between Kuala Lumpur and Penang for my job.
My dad and younger sister have been to Hawaii on separate occasions. They travel separately – my dad on a guided tour by Ken Air while my younger sister went there on her own. I have been to USA but did not go to Hawaii. Hence, my next travel destination would be to check out hawaii vacation package deals especially on the hotels in waikiki beach. I Iwould love to go for hawaii excursions as part of the ground tour.
I have been to Las Vegas and visited the Grand Canyons – one of the natural wonders of the world. Las Vegas is a city of sin because there are many mega casinos there with themed hotels. It is a man made attraction, turning a desert into a fertile tourist attraction and one of the most happening place in the world. My trip to the States was way back in 1998 when I was in between jobs but with enough savings to pay for the trip. I went there alone on a guided tour from Singapore, but it would have been more enjoyable if I have a spouse or partner to tag along with me. It was a treat to de-stress and unwind from all the job pressures and hectic lifestyle in Singapore.
Thank goodness, I am now back in Malaysia with a dream job to work at home for the last 7 plus years. My boss is kind and understanding. And I get to work alone with a laptop and internet connectivity at home in my pajamas. I can feel for those out there working and struggling to keep their jobs and some are still in their probation period. Because I was there once upon a time, just like the newly graduated employee hoping to strike it rich by working in my first job but never have working experience.
I feel quite blessed to be able to travel to the 3 different places in 5 days together with my 2 younger sisters. My second sister brought her ex-colleague along who works in a Hong Kong University as a lecturer to be our translator as all of us don’t speak Cantonese. You need to be able to speak Cantonese to get by as this is one of their main language and English is secondary. She also doubled up as our tour guide. It was a good experience to be able to see the different cultures and lifestyles. I went to a few places in Hong Kong – Golden Bauhinia Square, Repulse Bay, Aberdeen Fishing Village where I snapped photos of the famous Jumbo floating restaurant, The Elements shopping mall where we had our dinner, The Peak, etc.
After Hong Kong, we went to Shenzhen by MTR from Mong Kok East station where our hotel was (Royal Plaza Hotel) to Lor Wu station which was the last train station in China. There we met up with our other tour guide and took a cab to our hotel – FX Hotel. We went to Windows of the World and watch a 4D movie. Also took quite a lot of photos there.
Then we took a ferry to Macau from Shenzhen. We stayed at The Venetian hotel which is a 5 star hotel with the largest casino in Asia. We had dinner at a Portuguese restaurant which was treated by second sis. The beds in Venetian Hotel were decadent. All the rooms are suites and looked very posh. There were many shopping outlets as well. We also saw some ballroom dancing inside the casino. Then it was day tour at Macau the next day where we went to The Tower, saw ruins of St Paul’s church which was just a wall, plus a few other places.
After that, we took a ferry back to Hong Kong and then took a ride in a cab to our hotel – Royal Plaza Hotel where my second sister managed to talk her way to upgrade our room into a suite. It was both enjoyable and a reunion of sorts for the 3 of us siblings. Next target would be Europe.
I love working from a home office and need to take care of my good health so that I can continue to work and earn an income monthly. Not only that, I hope to continue to enjoy the good life that opportunities offer me like fine dining, going for a movie, travelling for business, etc. I was in Kuala Lumpur recently for a business trip and stay around Subang Jaya. In Taipan, there is a shop that sells Organic Food Online which I am quite interested to check out. There are also several shops offering Natural Health And Beauty besides Detox Diets For Weight Loss
. Taipan is a happening place with all the major banks located here and high end restaurants plus more affordable hawker centres sprouting in this big town.
I also need to watch out for my weight as I am considered a little obese due to all the good food and free dinner treats. I am also a food blogger and have been snapping up gorgeous food photos for my food blog on the internet. Life has been kind to me and I thank God for my providence and abundant supply. I also thank my parents for giving me a good education, investing in so many tuition so that I can be capable in my current job. Now is pay back time to them.

I am now back from Hatyai over Chinese New Year of the Bunny. The photo above was taken with my 2 younger sisters during a stop in Changloong to change our ringgit to Thai Baht. The conversion rate is supposed to be better here but we have compared to the rate in Penang road and we still have better returns here in Penang. We decided to dress similarly of yellow green which my second sister (seated left) from Suchou bought for the 3 of us.
I also went for Thai massage with my mother while my 2 other sisters went for their Swedish oil body massage which was more expensive. My mum specially requested for gentle massage for us in a room where we could watch tv at the same time. We bought lots of cashew nuts and braised chest nuts for friends and relatives. Since my second sister loves suji cake, my father’s church friend specially baked for her and she can have the whole cake to herself. We can eat it anytime here in Malaysia. That’s because you cannot get suji cake in China.

I also bought a year’s supply of brasil nut with vanilla shower cream from Boots, a United Kingdom brand that is only found in Thailand for the Asian continent. It is so much cheaper than buying shower cream here in Penang. And the scent is so fragrant. I am simply addicted to it. Also took the opportunity to buy a year’s supply of Intense Beauty Serum No. 7, also from Boots as you can see on the left side of the picture.
My sisters and I took turns to treat the whole family lunch and dinner during our yearly trip to Hatyai. This is the fifth time I went to Hatyai with my sisters and parents during CNY.

Above is a pair of white beaded sandals that I bought for $350 baht or RM35 a pair. I was shopping in Carrefour near JB hotel where the Thai Queen used to stay formerly. The hotel is big but a bit run down and old. Anyway, it was still enjoyable staying in New Season hotel which was much newer and nearer to the city centre for shopping and sight seeing. There was also a baby elephant being walked around for tourists to buy food and feed it. But I was waiting for my bracelet, so I did not take the photo. It was at night anyway, too dark for good non-grainny photos to be put up.
Tomorrow my colleague will be going to Sg. Petani to meet up with a client and then will decide when to go to KL for business again sometime this week. I have travelled down to KL umpteen times and thank God, no accidents or bad things happen to us while travelling on the North-South Highway. There were a few instances where we could have met an accident, but God has been protecting us and the business. That’s why I need to pray constantly as I can never take my safety and protection for granted. Luckily, my colleague is a Christian and realizes the importance of prayer for journey mercies and business success.
If I have the money, I will go for an overseas vacation to Myrtle Beach in USA. With long sandy white beaches, the towers at Myrtle Beach are very affordable with their units, 1 to 3-bedroom condominium, each with a private balcony to view the splendour of the beach. You will have plenty of fresh Atlantic coastal breeze with palm trees swaying to the gentle wind from the oceans.
When I have the spare cash to spend in my retirement, I hope to stay at the www.towersatnorthmyrtlebeach.com and enjoy a relaxing seafront overseas vacation with plenty of frollicking in the sun and building sand castles. It is good to spend some money after years of working hard and splurge now and then. When I retire, I will have plenty of time on my side to enjoy the pleasures of life while living out my golden years.
For the avid golfers, it is the place to be to enjoy that round of golf at an 18-hole golf course with signature designs by world renown designers. Myrtle Beach is one of the happening places in the world to be for any golfers with deep pockets. And you will not come disappointed to this marvellous place.
I am going to KL in the evening after dinner. It is better to travel at night which is better for the car tyres and engine. As the weather will not be so hot compared to the afternoon sun, the car can travel uninterrupted unlike the last trip where we encountered a tyre puncture in Sungai Buloh. Thank God, my colleague found a van with the driver nearby selling tyres sleeping near the petrol station and he promptly called him for assistance. So my colleague managed to get this chap to change the car tyre for RM20 as pocket money for the tyre seller. Travelling frequently to KL is not joke. The distance is not short either and by the time we set off, it will be about mid night when we reached the apartment.
