Today is the last day for the year 2007. It brings many happy memories for me in terms of making money and as well as some tragic news like the unlikely assasination of Benazir Bhutto on 27th Dec. She died a martyr. She was full of confidence and victory in the election just minutes before her death by a suicide bomber in Rawalpindi. There is just no explanation to all these terrorists acts.

Also today, I just came back from RHB Bank in Jalan Teh Ewe Lim, near my house. I managed to cash out RM367.59 from my Google Adsense via Western Union for the first time after one and a half years. The bank exchange rate was 3.30 today in RHB. And this month alone, I watched a few movies too like Alvin and the Chipmunks, National Treasure and Golden Compass. As I have promised in my previous post, here are the many photos taken in Genting Highlands during my trip from 21st to 23rd of December.

Here are more photos taken from my collection in the computer of my recent trip to China in July and August. In this shot, the water lilies make most of the background. It was taken near a lake in Temple of Heaven.

This is taken on the steps near Temple of Heaven. There were plenty of walking to do.

The photo was taken in a public park where the general public test their skills in various exercises that requires hand-eye co-ordination.

Here is a Reliance Group photo with the Temple of Heaven in the background. Guess where I am?

This is on the lower part of the Great Wall of China where you can see more buildings. The public wash room is nearby and my dad took the liberty to snap this photo.

The ‘emperor’ and his throne. You can rent the colorful costume and have your photos taken on the grand chair of the emperor here. This will cost you a few dollars for posterity sake.

This is a giant panda napping in the zoo. Notice it put an arm over its eyes to prevent the cameras’ flashes from disturbing its sleep.

Beach Travel Direct is your one-stop resources for travelling to beaches around the world. You can choose activities, region, country and more. Based on your selection, a list will be shown for your choosing. Beaches somehow attract people and tourists. That is why many 5-star hotels are built along the beaches in Batu Feringghi along Penang’s tourist belt. And it has been a happening place ever since. You can enjoy all sorts of water activities like swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, wind surfing, or even building sand castles by the beach.

Although there was a tsunami in 2004, people still forget about the incident and flock to the beaches in Penang to have a picnic. They can enjoy the natural beauty with white sands, black rocks, and waves crashing to the shore. You can also collect sea shells and bask in the sun for a nice sun tan. I will also go to the beach in Pattaya, Thailand for my coming trip in November with my youngest sister. We plan to do para sailing and I hope I will land on the beach and not in the water. Check out the link today if you love beaches and get your feet wet to wade in the crashing waves on the shore.

All of the Hawaiian Islands were formed by volcanoes arising from the sea floor from a magma source described in geological theory as a hotspot. The theory maintains that as the tectonic plate beneath much of the Pacific Ocean moves in a northwesterly direction, the hot spot remains stationary, slowly creating new volcanoes. This explains why only volcanoes on the southern half of the Big Island, and the Loihi Seamount deep below the waters off its southern coast, are presently active, with Loihi being the newest volcano to form.

If you like to see volcanoes from a safe distance, go to Hawaii which my dad has been and told me stories of the erupting volcanoes. Check out Kauai vacation rentals for your comfortable accomodation in Hawaii. It is a place full of happening stuffs. From beach strolling, windsurfing to volcano watching, you can be assured of many activities to do here. Read up on Hawaiian Beach Rentals beforehand and check out this web site.

If you wish to book air flight to Shanghai, China from Penang, it cost about RM1,660 via Singapore Airlines and you can book online here at http://singaporeair.com.my. For Malaysian Airlines (MAS) from Kuala Lumpur to Shanghai, the cost is more expensive at RM1,872. You can also book online for MAS through https://www.bookonline-malaysiaairlines.com.my/. Now that you know the prices inclusive of airport tax, you know which airline to book when going to China. I had to check out the price rates as my second sister who is lecturing English in a university in Suchou plans to come to Penang on the 4th August and return on the 18th or 19th August from Penang to Shanghai. By the way Suchou does not have any airport and the nearest one is Shanghai.

Except for Easter Island, Hawaii is farther away from land than any other landmass on Earth. Hawaii’s tallest mountain, Mauna Kea stands over 13,000 feet (4,000 meters) and is taller than Mount Everest if followed to its base at the floor of the Pacific Ocean. The Hawaiian Archipelago comprises eight islands and extending across a distance of 1,500 miles (2,400 km). Of these, eight high islands are considered the “main islands” and are located at the southeastern end of the archipelago. These islands are, in order from the northwest to southeast, Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lānai, Kahoolawe, Maui, and Hawaii. The latter is by far the largest, and is very often called the “Big Island” or “Big Isle” to avoid confusion with the state name.

Do check out vacation home rentals + kauai for your next accommodation in Hawaii. Be sure to read up on Hawaii Travel for more information before your trip to get a better understanding of the place.

The State of Hawaii became the 50th state of the United States of America on August 21, 1959. The archipelagic state is situated in the North Pacific Ocean, 2,300 miles (3,700 km) from the mainland. Hawaii was also known as the Sandwich Islands. Hawaii is also the longest island chain in the world. It is the only state of the United States that is without territory on the mainland of any continent, is completely surrounded by water, and continues to grow in area because of active extrusive lava flows, most notably from Kilauea. Check out Hawaii Travel for more information.

There are many places of interest to see and Hawaii is one of them. When you make your trip to USA, don’t miss out Hawaii, a beautiful sprawling group of islands in the Pacific Ocean. When you are there, you can experience the culture, taste the food and smell the air. My friends have been to Hawaii before and they loved it. My classmate went there on a personal trip and another friend was an air stewardess on transit in Hawaii. Even my dad and sister have been there as well on separate occasions.

Hawaii offers many good beach rentals for accommodation and hawaii oahu vacation rental from HawaiianBeachRentals dot com is one of them. When you visit the web site, you can see many nice pictures of palm trees and sky blue seas with sandy beaches and swimming pools near the vacation rentals. There are 3 bedroom condos, apartments, beachfronts and more to suit every need and taste. Also, don’t forget to check out Hawaii Travel prior to your visit to Hawaii.

My father has been to Hawaii and besides my second sister, all the rest of the family have not been there. Though I have been to USA before, I missed going to this place. Hawaii is basically a group of idyllic islands in the Pacific Ocean west of USA. I guess it must be similar to Penang, also an island. Other than the different culture and the local women wearing grass skirts sashaying their hips, all the rest are similar to Penang with plenty of Hawaii beach accomodations for you to choose from. The well known Hawaiian song ‘Aloha Oe’ welcomes visitors to these splendid islands.

There are plenty of activities such as scuba diving, windsurfing, sun-bathing, swimming in the beach, swimming pools and lagoons. Hawaii also has world class accommodations with a wide selection to choose from. When you plan your next vacation, don’t forget to make Hawaii as your destination. Furthermore, you can read up on this tourist spot in Hawaiian vacation news. It is good to check out on the interesting places of visit before your next visit to Hawaii.

Christmas Trees in Gurney Plaza 2006, taken by tsldesigns.com
Above is a shot of the entrance to Penang’s lifestyle shopping mall, Gurney Plaza. I was there for window shopping, and did not buy anything else. The Christmas trees attracted my attention and the centre piece of a bronze woman water fountain adds glamour to the place. The photo was dark and raw, so I had to touch it up and edit with some Photoshop so that the colors are more vibrant and cheerful. This photo has been uploaded to Yahoo’s Flickr so that it will not incur more bandwidth on my hosting site.
