Yesterday, my first ever Nuffnang cheque arrive in the letter box and I promptly banked it in my account at Public Bank. The amount was for RM50.82 and after deducting RM1 for the charges, it came to RM49.82. Nevertheless it is still money from blog advertisements. I am elated that though the amount is not that much compared to other bloggers, to me, something coming in is better than nothing at all. Just click on the image above to enlarge the picture for a clearer view! Thank you, Nuffnang! Your programme certainly rocks and that is why so many bloggers are turning to Nuffnang compared to Adverlets. This is proof that Nuffnang definitely pays its fellow bloggers

2007 was a very good year to make money blogging. But in the last year, it was not as lucrative compared to the previous year. In 2009, there are still some more opportunities to take from paid blogging work with thousands of blogging joining in the ranks and it is more competitive. But to make money blogging is easy. All you need is to open up a blog using WordPress or the free Google’s Blogger web site and post regularly for 1 month with at least 20 posts to be accepted into the program.
PayingPost also has its own blog for you to check out on updates and the latest information. Many work at home moms and those freelancers and bloggers are jumping on the bandwagon to do paid blogging weekly, earning lucrative, income through their PayPal. This is one the methods to earn money online and does not require hard core critical thinking unlike programming codes in the thousands of lines. You just write what comes to mind and simply put the advertiser’s hyperlink with selected keywords to it. Ain’t it easier than that?
Paid blogging has earned me some pocket money in the past and I have saved up whatever I earned online for my retirement plan. This is so that I have financial freedom in my golden years, no need to depend on anyone for a living. And I have to make sure I have enough savings to tide me through those golden years of sunset. As I am not married and don’t have children, I cannot depend on them to pay for my expenses when I am old. So make hay while the sun shines and take the opportunity to earn as much as you can while you are able. There are many programs offering paid blogging and PayingPost is one of them.
I have been paid about USD250 for November’s work in writing articles for a US company. It pays about 1.4 cents per word for a 4 star rating and 1 cent per word for a 3 star rating. However, my rating has dropped from 4 star to 3 star this month. But the money comes in handy for Christmas and I intend to save it up for rainy days. No more lavish spending or impromptu buyings on impulse while window shopping. Need to save up for hard times as the economy is not so good with global recession looming in 2009. I just have to tell myself to work hard for such times. But it is nice to take a break now and then from work and remember the carefree days as a student without worries about savings and expenditure.
Now it is about 2:10pm and my colleague will come fetch me to Kuala Lumpur in one hour’s time at around 3:00pm or so. I have finished writing 4 articles of 500 words for USD10 this morning and got paid immediately through my PayPal. This co-writer is from USA and writes articles full time at home. He sleeps at 4:00am and wakes up by 8:00am to continue writing articles. Just how hard working he is to earn money. And whatever extra work he has, he passes them to me. We have been chatting online via Yahoo Messenger. His payments are very prompt, immediately after I sent in my work. So far I have received US dollars from him for the few articles I have written so far. This is a very convenient arrangement as I work in my home office every day and get to write articles on a part time basis.
Some bloggers are still earning money from PPP in their secret blogs though they claim not to do any more paid blogging. As for me, PPP is a thing in the past now. I no longer earn from the lucrative paid blogging work. When one window is shut, another door is open. Currently, I am now earning US dollars writing articles on a freelance basis for a client from India and another from Nigeria. They are good paymasters and I get paid after each assignment. If you are like me, you might want to venture into writing articles to earn US dollars. Research can be done easily through the internet for substance and material, in case you need them.
Motorists now have the option of renewing their road tax online through a service launched recently. The service would be a boon to owners of the 15 million vehicles in the country. The online service could be accessed through http://www.myeg.com.my. Users could opt to have the road tax stickers delivered directly to their homes or offices. Payment could be made via credit card or debit method. Motorists who renewed their road tax online will have to pay a service charge of RM2.75. MYEG has fixed delivery charge for the road tax disc at RM6 in the Klang Valley and RM8 outside the Klang Valley. For motorists in Sabah and Sarawak, the charge is RM10.
I have made some decent part-time income from blogging in last year. They are mainly from PayPerPost.com but now it is getting more difficult to grab opportunities after the PR (Page Ranking) was slashed by Google. I am contented that prior to that, I have made more than USD5,000 by blogging at its peak for just slightly over a year. Then came Adsense which I put into 4 of my blogs and I have withdrawn money from Western Union as well for the first time this January 2008. It has been my endeavor to continue learning how to earn money by blogging and there is a very interesting article written here from Problogger.net. Hope it will spur and motivate you to continue to blog on a regular basis.

Above is a video of John Chow being interviewed about driving traffic to your site. If you have not heard of John Chow, he is the blog mogul who makes around USD17,000 in August 2007. This guy rocks and is dead serious about making a living off the internet. He has also written a free ebook to give away in order to drive traffic to his blogs. Check out the YouTube video above.
This month, I have started work as a VA or virtual assistant for a friend in his copy writing business. It is about 4 hours a week at RM800 a month additional income for me. That amounts to RM50 an hour of work. He has sent me his excel file with income and expenditure for the net income for the month. I also need to create invoices to his clients for his copywriting business. Well, this is just a trial for 2 weeks and if it works out well, he may continue my VA services. Otherwise both parties can mutually stop it and move on. For more details of what I offer, check out Virtual Assistance from TSL Designs
It is an encouragement to know that some local Malaysian bloggers are earning a five figure income all from the internet. From their various programs like Google Adsense, Kontera, TLA, affiliate programs, etc, they are making a comfortable income all from the comforts of home. The amount is impressive and the figure may be more than some bosses.
Lilian earned $4,275.50 or over RM14,000 last month while
Samm earned $3,478 or over RM12,000 last month.
So, how much did you earn last month?
During the recent trip to KL, while on the way there, I withdrew RM1,050 from Bank Bumiputera Commerce or CIMB bank as it is now known. It was done in a jiffy. All it takes was to withdraw from my PayPal account to my Virtual Money Inc (VMI) account in USA. After 5 days, the money is inside my other bank account in VMI. I don’t have to depend on money laundering services that takes a cut for commission on the payment and the services. And I still get to use my VMI account with no glitches at all as claimed by some skeptics in their blogs.
Just yesterday, I withdraw RM1,200 from my Virtual Money Inc. debit card using Maybank’s ATM (Automated Teller Machine). Almost every month, I withdraw at least RM1,000 for work done in blogging. And this is my part time job. It pays well, especially US dollars converted about 3.45 times to Malaysian ringgits. Most of the money comes from pay to blog programs like PayPerPost, LoudLaunch, Blogsvertise, Blogitive, Smorty, Bloggerwave, Sponsored Reviews and more. If you like to set up your own blog in your own domain, just email me philin(AT)streamyx(DOT)com and I shall be pleased to oblige you. I have been earning a good income since October 2006 and never looked back for other sources of income.
