Almost every day I need to scour around the internet for work to be completed online and get paid online as well. I have been working in my small home office since February 2004. There are no other people to disturb me, no obnoxious colleagues back stabbing or other problems related to working in a real office. If I work hard, I can earn a few dollars here and there and this amount will add up quite substantially at the end of the month.

Good bye 2011 and welcome 2012 – the year of the dragon. Gone is the year of the rabbit which is my boss’ year of the 12 year lunar cycle. My earnings have reduced in 2011 compared to 2010 which was the most lucrative for me. But anyway, it is in the 6 figure range and just made it for the total annual income. This includes all my earnings from fixed deposits, bonds, Paypal, virtual assistance, paid posts, Google Adsense and Nuffnang. This year, hopefully it will increase with rental income from my new apartment.

I was browsing through the internet and came across a link below where you can click on it to read up more like here >> http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Women/. On a side note, I am happy to work for an American company taking up blog posts now and then and they are prompt in their payment. This is important to maintain good relations with the blogger and company. That is why I will always blog for them as soon as I have an opportunity. Blogsvertise has been around for a long time and it is reliable and trustworthy.

Hospitals and medical centers around the world can purchase cheap scrubs from the link given and have the items delivered right to their doorsteps. They can be affordable without burning a hole in the wallets. It is a rule now for all medical and hospital staff to wear scrubs over their working attire to look more professional and for hygienic purposes. They are various designs for him and for her. Some of them are plain while others have groovy patterns that will certainly attract young patients like children.

By wearing them, you can appear to be more friendly and approachable. So, it is time to check out those scrubs and browse around for the most fabulous design for your staff.

I own an olive green Myvi by Perodua – which is the best selling car model in Malaysia. Many young women love driving this sleek car for its beautiful design, ease of driving with automatic gear and choice of colours. I will service my car regularly to avoid any car breakdown along the road while driving.

However, in the event that your car breaks down in the middle of the road, you can get yourself prepared by checking out car breakdown cover for the best affordable policy that suits your budget. I use my car for updated to SOCSO records of the workers and for EPF payment in the past. Now I just post the cheques by mail and they are deducted and paid into the workers’ accounts.

I was checking through Innit Nuffnang and came across a blogger’s revelation of making money and receiving the 10th payment from a microworkers web site for USD36.00. Well, this web site offers micro jobs that are easy to complete like writing blog posts or signing up to get paid. The amounts are miniscule but they can add up to quite a substantial amount by the end of the month. And I am happily occupied writing and looking for more jobs from such web sites.

You get paid through Alert Pay and I have updated my new credit card details for verification. With the spare time that I have at home, I can profitably work by my computer for some allowances from the internet. Therefore, it pays to scour around the various blogs for opportunities like this.

I have finally booked and confirmed the flight tickets for 2 persons from KL to Kuala Terengganu by Firefly this coming Sunday departing at 11:00am, reaching an hour later at 12:00 noon and then departing at 9:30pm on the same day from Kuala Terengganu. The total cost was $695.00 for 2 including air port tax and admin charges. Firefly is a small propeller plane owned by Malaysian Airlines System or abbreviated as MAS. Tomorrow I will go down to KL with my colleague by car to KL on Saturday. We need to meet up with a sports coach there.

Woah! I have so much work today! Last night my boss dumped me with lots of typing and printing to do. And I am his only secretary handling all the computer work for the small company like typing quotations, emailing clients, reply enquiries, maintain company web site, update pictures of reference projects, etc. But luckily there is an incentive to work hard. I get paid commissions too if the company successfully clinches a project. So the more I work, the more I earn. :)

As I have mentioned in my previous post, one can get overwhelmed with using the computer and working for my present company because there may be lots of typing to do and other work to be completed. But thank goodness, my self-taught training as an Information Technology Trainer in Informatics, Singapore got me well prepared. I have learnt some short cut tricks here and there using MS Word, Excel and even PowerPoint. I am also proficient in using Adobe Photoshop and can process the images quite well – saturating the colours and optimizing them for faster downloading without compromising on the image quality. Despite the long hours, my job at Informatics was not too bad and I kind of enjoyed working there and it was my first employment after graduation.

Last week, my boss has informed me that I will be going to KL this week. It will most probably be tomorrow or the day after. I have just finished processing 70 envelopes which is the third batch for this year – putting calendars and marketing letters into the envelopes, chopping the company address, pasting stamps, sealing them and finally pasting on the receivers’ addresses. Although I work from a home office, there will always be work every day, depending on the amount which may vary according to email enquiries, etc. Sometimes, I also need to type out invoices and delivery orders and email them to existing clients. Being the only employee who handles all the computer work, I have to work fast and be proficient in MS Word, otherwise, you may be overwhelmed with the amount of work each day.

As I browse through my old baby photo albums and reminisce of the time my parents took care of me, I can see many pictures with baby girl hats that they have bought for me to wear. I know they are not baby boy hats as they were pink in color and not blue. My parents had to buy the the right size of baby hats for me so that they are not too big covering my face nor too small that they cannot fit me.

Now forty years later and all grown up, a feeling of nostalgia overwhelm me of those tender weaning years. The time, care and effort combined to bring up a baby is not an easy task; they require full time care and coupled with the fact that both my parents were working at that time, my upbringing was relegated to my late paternal granny who departed in 2007. She was a strict no-nonsense regimented person who brought me up with discipline. I was even discouraged from reading story books and the only books I read were school text books which were in another language. That is why I only scored a B for my English but now with much reading of the daily newspapers and financial magazines plus reading news on my iPhone 4 and iPad 2, my English has improved by leaps and bounds, thus enabling me to earn some moolah by writing articles for clients.

Later this morning, I need to drive to a printing studio and let the graphic designer format the calendar that I have created using Microsoft Word file and convert it to JPEG file format so that I can upload it to the company web site for clients and web surfers to download our free 2012 calendar. I will request for 300 calendars of A4 size to be printed as according to my boss’ desire. They will be mailed out to all our potential clients all over the country and this needs to be completed by December so that they have time to look over it and plan the budget for the year end. This is the time that I will be busy slotting marketing letter and calendar to each envelope, paste on 80 cents stamp, seal it and then mail out before calling it a day.

For many people, the definition of JOB is “Just Over Broke”. But for me it is “Joy On Board”. I get to travel to various places in Malaysia as part of my job requirement and get to be employed in a dream job to work at my home office. I have a full time employment in my friend’s sports business company plus get to offer virtual assistance in my free time now and then. Just the other day, I got paid USD 250 for 25 hours of work offering virtual assistance over 3 weeks. So, it was like USD 10 per hour which I quoted my client who emailed me directly because I have signed up and filled up my profile for a virtual assistance service web site for clients looking for virtual assistance.

The work was manageable and my client very easy going, not fussy at all and leave it to my discretion to complete the work in a timely manner for him. I also emailed him a weekly Excel file featuring the work done, date completed and hours worked on. Apparently he is happy with my work and paid me promptly upon completion of the required work. That is why I love using the internet!

I love to go camping during my younger days in school. I was a girl guide and have won a first prize in outdoor cooking camp competing with other teams from different schools. Not only that, I have also represented my country in South Australian State Guide Camp in Douglas Scrub in Adelaide, Australia. It was my first time travelling to a foreign country but the experience was worth it. Those were my glorious younger school days when I seem to excel both academically and physically.

Though there are no Adirondack chairs or Picnic Tables, we have Park Benches and playground equipment during our girl guides outings. I have also attended jamborees and sing-a-long sessions seated around a night camp fire.

Therefore, I am thankful for the father who was the one who encouraged me and my sisters to be active in societies and how to socialize. Now we are successful working professionals in different areas after having graduated from different faculties in the varsities. We were brought up with good working values, imbibed with honesty and integrity in whoever we deal with – be it our colleagues, friends or bosses. As my parents have sacrificed time and money to bring us up, now it pay back time and to contribute to the household income and expenditure. It certainly feels great to be contributing to society at large and paying our taxes.

I just came back from Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi this week for business trips in both destinations. This time around, I did not buy any guys clothing as the time was too short for shopping. During my trip to Haadyai last year, I bought some guys clothing for my friend who has been very faithful to me. I had to specially choose the guys clothing from a departmental store and make sure that it fits his size – he is on the short side but quite muscular due to carrying heavy weights in his younger days while helping his late dad in the family hardware business.

I love and cherish the frienship of my friend who happens to be my boss as well for the last 7 plus years. Our friendship is good for the sports business as we meet up every day to discuss about the business and how to get more clients. I also print out customer enquiries from the emails and pass them to him to be notified and he will fax to me the replies before I type into the email reply to the customer. He can check his email via his iPad 2 but I will be the one to reply to them on his behalf. His old lap top is spoilt since some time back, so I am his only source for information revolving the company business.
