Money accumulated but no payment

In some of the programs that I have joined, I have made more than USD 250 that has been accumulated but still there is no payment supposedly on the 1st of every month. Why?? What is happening? Previously such programs pay on time every month, but apparently the staff is not diligent enough to pay me by Paypal and might do so after more money is gathered. I have been working hard blogging and writing articles and I need my money soon. Otherwise it might deter my motivation from continuing with such programes. And I have discovered recently that 2 of my government bonds are not paying me my 5% interests every quarter. If the government is not making money, I sincerely hope that I can get back my invested capital and not lose the whole amount totally.

Floods in Kedah Recently

Now is the monsoon season and it has been raining heavily these couple of weeks. There were flash floods in Alor Star, Kedah and even along the highways in the surrounding areas. Many homes were damaged due to the flood water and families have to evacuate to higher ground. In the press, the photo was captured showing hundreds of families evacuated to a school hall in Kedah where they rested and waited until the flood water subsided.

Yesterday, I was on the way back from KL to Penang when it rained heavily on the highway. Then suddenly this four-wheel drive overtook me on the right side and suddenly skidded to the left, cutting my path and slammed to the barricade and got flung out to the right side and hit the divider, spun around and came to a complete stop! The driver was just a young teenage girl driving such a huge vehicle! She must have gotten the shock of her life being caught in this type of accident all happened right in front of my car that I was driving. God must have protected my colleague and me as we came out unharmed though it was a very close shave! She could have hit us and it would have been a bad accident with much injuries to the smaller car that we were travelling in! That is why, there will always be accidents on the road whenever it rains!

Paid a Bomb for a simple task

I know HTML but not XML which is a generated file. Since I received some errors in the XML file, I have to get help soon and immediately while I still remember the steps. So, went to a freelancer site and was shocked to find that the system has changed and my USD30 for work done in the past was gone together with the old site. But my profile still remains. This company cheated me of USD30 that is rightfully mine for work done in the past and I could not withdraw it until I hit USD50. So, don’t ever go to getafreelancer.com which charges a whopping USD19.95 just to list a project and then deducts a minimal amount for its charges. This is a scam! Had I waited for my hosting company to solve the problem, I would have saved USD60 in a day!

Not any quotation to anybody

When I quote and calculate quotations, I have to stick by the rules and email what we have and not all the products to anybody. We have to be careful in our quotations so that we don’t get lawsuits for not being able to deliver as promised and have to be extra cautious when quoting to clients from USA where lawsuits are so commonplace! My boss has worked hard to build the company to what it is today and we cannot afford to have lawsuits at all that will close and bring down the company. We are happy to serve local market here in Malaysia and need to look for foreign market where we don’t know the import tax percentage and rules. Running a business needs God’s divine direction and protection from the devourer!

Bought a New Canon MP 258 Printer – a Lousy Model

My previous Canon MP 145 Printer and Scanner served me very well and I am happy with all the functions. It was bought as a computer trade fair for RM188 with a few free gifts thrown in. The money was well invested then. However, after more than 1 year of usage, the rollers started to fail and cannot take in paper to print out. Since there is no Canon service centre in Penang, I have no choice but to buy another Canon printer. As they no longer carry the same model, I have to buy a supposedly upgraded one – Canon MP 258! Last night I tried it out and am not happy with the printer and scanner. First, my scanned page was truncated on the left partially by half an inch and it was lop sided. Imagine paying RM205 for this lousy model!! I have not tried other functions but am not happy with the features! Next time I might change to Hewlett Packard printer instead!

My father’s church friend got kidnapped in the car park of her apartment and was blind folded for 2 days. She was driven to the ATM to withdraw her money, at a maximum of RM5,000 per day. Therefore, never keep too much money in the bank that can be withdrawn. And yesterday, she called my dad in a very weak voice to call the parish priest to pray over hear. The ordeal of the kidnapping made her a total wreck. She is now warded in a private hospital. One of her eye is swollen due to the very tight blind folding. She was captured by 3 indian guys in the carpark and while being blind folded, she could hear malay and chinese conversation of her captors. People are desperate and will do anything to get money – whether legally or illegally. This kidnapping was mentioned in the local press too to warn the public and not to be alone when going out.

When you render favours to a friend, don’t expect anything in return. Don’t even have ulterior motive when you give favours. I hate it when people demand a RM250 chinese new year hamper just for some simple favours done in the past. What the heck! It is not a joke when you tell someone that you have a grudge against that person. And you are not even Chinese. And when you comment in my blog, you had the cheek to point out mistakes like misalignment, etc, etc. When I visited your blog, it is no better. You got your side bar truncated as well. You see the dust in people but is blind to the stumbling block in your eyes. So, I rather you don’t visit my blog and get jealous of the food pictures and hotel stays that I get, because this is my very own blog and I am at liberty to post whatever I like. This joker was also voted Worst Blog in Blogger’s Choice Awards and was banned from PayPerPost for quarrelling with their head honcho, Ted Murphy himself. I also don’t know why he’s been disowned by his own parents too but it speaks volumns of his mischievous defiant character.

Avoid using too much abbreviations

I have seen some bloggers use so much abbreviation that you feel stupid reading their blogs, because the blogger assumes you know what all those dozens of abbreviations mean. No wonder someone commented that the blogger cannot spell. Which in a way I think is true. If you are too lazy to spell out the full word or words and keep assuming people will keep coming to your blogs and read heaven knows what, then you are in for a downfall. Someone will surely black list your blog and when the oppportunity arise, list your blog as obnoxious or the worst blog. Sure, you attract attention, but the negative type of impression that readers have of you. So, don’t be lazy, buck up and spell the right way instead of using short forms all the way from beginning of your posts to the end.

Caution: ‘Jason Tan’ is a cheat!

This cunning guy named ‘Jason Tan’ is a trickster! He created a very convincing web site called OnlyinMalaysiaMah.com and even advertised in Google Adwords. If you check out the web site, you will noticed that he included pictures of the Maybank money that he received a day plus ‘his’ PayPal account of money coming in so easily. What’s more? He must have put in fake photos of testimonials and people who have supposedly profited from buying his info product and learn from his secrets.

Since I have bought many info products before and have read and benefited them, I was taken in when I clicked on the Google Adwords advertisement in one of the blogs and went to his web site. This guy over promised and even offered to give ’60 hours of free consultation’ but after paying RM90 or USD26 through PayPal, nothing happens. He did not bother to email the link to download his digital information. This guy is a fake. Don’t ever buy from this web site or be taken in by empty promises.

To me, RM90 can be recovered quickly but for those honest hardworking people, even at an executive level, RM60 is a 9-5 hour job toiling in the office. I don’t know how many people this guy has cheated from his very elaborate and well written web site to con the surfers of their monies. As I have paid by PayPal, I waited for a while before realizing that I have been conned into buying his non-existent info product. He shows pictures of a Mercedes CLK that ‘he owns’, and his Perdana Damansara condominium, supposed bought at 600k and lies of travelling overseas with not 1 but 2 girlfriends. I should have been more cautious as this sounded too good to be true.

So folks, learn from my mistake. Don’t be easily taken in by over promises and pictures of monies rolling into the PayPal account. The pictures can be touched up easily and doctored to look like his own using software. Even the fake testimonials with photos of people who benefited from his program can be easily put together to look convincing and real. And this guy is smart. He used PayPal to accept payment because you cannot request for a chargeback unlike merchant accounts. And he even promised money back guarantee if you are not making money and get to keep his materials. So, I might as well forget about getting back my RM90 and bid farewell to it.
