After 8 days in the PC clinic, I finally got back my baby, my computer. It is much faster now and all spywares removed. I still maintain and continue using Windows XP as the Operating System. And tomorrow early in the morning, about 6:30am, my colleague will come fetch me to Melaka for a meeting at 3:30pm. Just hope that we can make it for the long journey from Penang. We will stay 1 night in Subang Jaya’s condominium before coming back.

And now here I am blogging. That’s because I need to find an excuse to use my ‘new’ computer. I have yet to install all the software that I normally use. Maybe after coming back from Melaka, I will find the time to load the necessary programs to continue working from home again. In the meantime, I shall enjoy working from home while the opportunity is there.

I was back yesterday but was too tired to blog. So, I just checked for emails. The recent trip to KL lasting 3 days 2 nights was very fruitful. We visited a few places and projects are waiting for us right up to early next year. We also got some orders from our 2008 calendars sent out. So, I just sit back and count my commissions each month. During the trip to KL, we also drove down to Tangkak in Johor for site visit. I need to also lose some weight as I have put on 2 kg extra due to the delicious buffet dinner in Ipoh’s Casuarina Hotel.

I am now in Subang Jaya condominium. Yesterday, we went to Port Dickson to visit a client for sports court project. The project has been given to my boss and he will start later this month. The journey from KL to Port Dickson took about 2 and a half hours. Port Dickson is located by the beach in Negeri Sembilan. It was a slow drive and I was at the beach enjoying the sea breeze for a while in our client’s place. There were also an ostrich farm and a mini zoo, which we may visit later on, but not yesterday. After that we had dinner at Manhattan Fish Market in Sunway Pyramid. We window shopped for a while before driving back to our condominium.

Later this afternoon after lunch, I will be going down to KL with my boss and stay one night in Subang Jaya. The following morning, we will drive down to Negeri Sembilan to Port Dickson and visit a client for sports project. We were supposed to meet up earlier immediately after Hari Raya, but my colleague overlook this and forgot about it. So, we plan to meet up on Friday or Saturday for the job. Thank goodness, I have recovered from my fever two days ago. That time I was having a headache and body temperature rose to 38.6 degrees Celcius. Hopefully, I can buy back from fruits like pomelo this time around.

I arrive my home yesterday evening at around 5:00pm. My boss drove from KL starting at 1:00pm and we stopped for a while in Tapah to buy some fruits before continuing the journey. It took about 4-5 hours to arrive home safely. There was no traffic jam and the cars moved along smoothly along the highway. I bought a pomelo and 4 apple custards back home. We even went down to Johor the day before by car for a small potential project. Thank goodness we rented a condominium in Subang Jaya and this saves us a lot of trouble and money booking hotel rooms.

I have been travelling so frequently. Tomorrow morning, my boss will come to fetch me for the trip to KL, to meet up with a client and maybe we might drive down to Johor for another meeting. I am not sure when I will be back but hopefully by the weekend I can be back to Penang. Now it seems that I travel about twice a month outstation mainly to KL. I guess I need to get used to this frequency of travelling at a short notice.

Yesterday, I came back last night at around 9:00pm. We set off from KL in the afternoon at about 4:00pm and stopped by in Sungai Buloh at Baskin Robbins for some ice-cream. I had a scoop of green tea and another scoop of pistachio ice-cream. They were delicious and spoon-licking good. We went to three different places in KL before coming back. It drizzled a little on the way back while I was driving from Tapah to Ipoh where we had out dinner in Kenny Rogers in Jaya Jusco.

Today is a Sunday and should be my rest day. But I will be going down to KL with my boss at around 4:30pm today by car. Most likely we will reach KL at about 9:00pm tonight. Later on, I will print out about 20 pages of brochure profile on the company’s products and services for the interview tomorrow at 10:00am for a big project in KL. I just hope my boss will be successful in getting this job and our workers will have continuous jobs and I will get my commissions.

This coming Sunday, after church service in Sungai Ara, I will travel down to Kuala Lumpur for a meeting on Monday morning at 10:00am for a running track project in Shah Alam. I hope my boss will be successful in the interview to secure this big project that cost a lot of money, by the hundreds of thousands. I will also get my commissions besides the basic pay. The running trrack project, if successful, will be the first one for my company. We have already done futsal arenas, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, badminton courts and multi-purpose courts.

I am back from a trip to Tanah Merah since last night. We set off at around 10:00am in the morning yesterday and the trip took 5 hours to arrive in Tanah Merah. The road was winding and there are hardly any stops for food or the toilet. In fact the only 2 there were closed. Such bad facilities and services. Thank goodness the toilets were not locked. I think this is going to be my last time going to Kelantan by car. I would not mind if we take Firefly low cost aircraft there in future.

This coming Thursday, I shall be in Tanah Merah in Kelantan to see a potential client in sports business project. He wants to build a rubberized sports court. I guess the journey by car will take around 5-6 hours from Penang. I just pray for journey mercies for this trip and that nothing will happen to the car while on our way there. Most likely, I will stay overnight there before coming back. Sometimes you need to meet up with people to secure and finalise a deal especially for sports courts. They want to see you and check if they can trust you with initial deposit payment upon confirmation.

Yesterday, my boss told me we may have to go to Ipoh today to meet up with a potential client for sports courts. It is a public club which contacted us through our web site. The secretary copied and pasted pictures from our web site for her boss to look through. That’s the benefit of having an online presence that does the sales marketing for us. I just updated our web site with more pictures of completed projects yesterday. Every month, we will definitely have some sports projects to install and complete to keep our workers busy all year round.

Last night, I came back from Kuala Lumpur at around 8:00pm. It drizzled slightly during the trip back. As my colleague was tired after so much driving around to meet clients, I drove back from KL to Tapah which took about 1 hour. We stopped in Tapah for dinner and I bought some fruits like a pomelo, 2 huge mangoes, pink apple custard and green apple custard. My parents love fruits, as they are rich in vitamins and minerals. It was a successful business trip but quite a hectic one.

I am still in KL and it is an hour to noon time. My colleague plans to go back to Penang today and that will take another 4-5 hours of driving on the road. I hope the weather will be fine today so that we can have a smooth ride back. Maybe, I might stop by in Tapah to buy some fruits like pomelo, mangoes, apple custards, etc. This is my umpteenth time down to KL and I have lost count how many times I have come down here. Praying for journey mercies today.
