I have made some decent part-time income from blogging in last year. They are mainly from PayPerPost.com but now it is getting more difficult to grab opportunities after the PR (Page Ranking) was slashed by Google. I am contented that prior to that, I have made more than USD5,000 by blogging at its peak for just slightly over a year. Then came Adsense which I put into 4 of my blogs and I have withdrawn money from Western Union as well for the first time this January 2008. It has been my endeavor to continue learning how to earn money by blogging and there is a very interesting article written here from Problogger.net. Hope it will spur and motivate you to continue to blog on a regular basis.

Blogger has just added a new feature on the dashboard. We can now upload videos to our blogs the same way we upload pictures. We no longer need to embed the codes from YouTube. Though I have not tried this yet, I think it is a nifty feature to use. Maybe one of these days, I might just upload my own videos of a stage performance taken in China that comes with the delicious Mongolian food buffet. Blogger only allows video uploads of not more than 100mb each time. Most formats are accepted. Have fun with your videos.

When I started blogging in July 2006, little did I dream of making more money online. It was just to update my blogs now and then and at that time pay to blog was never heard of. Never in my dreams did I think of making more money through my blogs. It was easy and fast. Just write a few posts here and there, with interims and you get your cash one month later. How easy can that get? So if you like to set up a wordpress blog, just email me. Otherwise, you can go to blogger.com to start a free blog that’s user friendly and fast to set up.

This morning, I am in a blogging mood. As there are many opps on PPP and other programs, I am taking the opportunity to snap them up. Is it not everyday that you have so many offers like today. In fact, it was becoming scarce to take opps from PPP some time back recently. Since there are at least 50,000 bloggers who have signed up, imaging the competition to take up the opps daily. Almost immediately they are snapped up. I guess blogging is in my blood since I also work from home office with a broadband internet connection.

I love blogging especially paid blogging. But nowadays there are fewer opps as more blogs get registered and there is less opportunity to blog. When I log in every morning, I used to see the opps greyed out in PPP. Obviously they were released at night Malaysian time or in the wee hours of the morning at 2:00am while I am slumbering. I guess the top paying bloggers are also affected with the regional segmentation based on countries.

I find it annoying that while I am working hard blogging by the computer, someone asks me stupid questions like “Are You Blogging?” If I don’t answer, this person gets angry. If I answer, I get Distracted. Please, make small talk when I am free. Not when I am busy pounding on the computer. I need concentration and you know how to ask for free ‘makan’. And I need to earn the blog money to pay for such expenses. As it is now, I am sponsoring the 3 of us to China. And it is costing me a whopping RM7,095 for the trip.

Today I got 3 offers from blogsvertise to post in three different blogs. There is an offer from smorty as well. Thank goodness I have other programs to post besides PayPerPost (PPP). As there are 28,000 you can imagine the offers are snapped up very fast in PPP. If I can find a post to blog daily in PPP, I will be very lucky. Gone are the juicy days where I can take more than 6 offers a day from PPP. Well, some lucky souls are still blogging a lot from PPP and their earnings are increasing dramatically. Just wish I could be one of them.

I have emailed my tech support to upgrade this blog to the latest WordPress files version 2.2.1 for better security. All the upgrades are done by my technical support online and a fellow blogger. You will need to export your database to save it or backup online via PhpMyAdmin dashboard. And you need to know which buttons to check and select for the database backup. It is good to backup before you upgrade to a newer version just in case. I have gotten my two other blogs upgraded already and they are running fine without any glitches.

PayPerPost has turn one late in June this year. And it has been a exciting year since this company from USA formed and offered bloggers a chance to earn money while writing the things they love. With crossword puzzles to Oppapalooza and Tuesdays giveaways, PayPerPost has Ted Murphy at the helm to brainstorm fantastic ideas to bring this company to new heights and prosperity. And recently it has gotten USD7 million in venture capital and have given out $700 opportunities without any segmentation. I have been blessed to a a part of this company and have earned more than USD3k since October 2007. Though it may not be as much compared to the top ten earners, but it is still income to my pockets. Why won’t you sign up using the blue badge on the right side of this blog and start leveraging some income? You will never regret it.

Just today, I have made changes to more than 10 posts to make them unique as required by the pay to blog program that I have signed up for. And I am now in a blogging mode. Luckily I can type fast without looking at the keyboard. So, if you see changes to my previous posts, you know that I have blogged about them to ensure that my posts get accepted. I cannot afford to be marginalized and depend on my pay to blog programs to finance my lifestyle currently. So I need to be diligent in blogging and take up good offers each day. I know of boring housewives leveraging on paid blogging like crazy and laughing all the way to the banks.

Also as I plan to tour soon, I need to keep in touch with these programs. And if you like to go to Hawaii with your laptop to blog, you can stay in Wailea maui rentals. And you can also read up on Hawaii Travel.

Today, I am on a blogging marathon mode. I had to make changes to my over 20 blogs posts from my 3 blogs from Paid Blogging program and I have 24 hours to do so. So you will see changes and new stuffs from my previous blogs. I have to ensure that the posts are unique to and not similar posts from other blogs. Previously, I was a little slothful and just use the same posts to all my 4 blogs. Since they have to be unique, I can make changes to the other 3 and leave the 4th one as it is. Thank goodness, my job is not too much today, so I can use the time to go for a marathon blog after this post.

I guess I am addicted to blogging especialy when there are juicy offers of pay to blog programs. Sometimes it is dry spell, other days, there are plenty of offers to take and you will be overwhelmed. It is nice to see income coming in via PayPal from the paid posts. Some of the offers give more payment while others are a minimum of USD5. It is also based on the PR of your web site and it is proportional to the offers. I have been blogging since July 2006 and it was only in middle of October that I began to take sponsored posts. I have not looked back since then and continue to generate part time income from blogging. And the money is in US dollars which converts to 3.4 rate in ringgits currently.

PayPerPost.com has changed its home page and almost the whole site is revamped with new look, layout and features in the new version. There is a short list of a directory of bloggers who put the badge to hire them on their sites. And the new Chinese guy in the front home page makes us Chinese feel more at home with many hardworking and diligent Chinese bloggers in PPP. This augurs well for PayPerPost and we know they are always busy improving their site and adding new features for both for fellow posties and advertisers. And the head honcho of PPP is none other than Ted Murphy, who can also code and lead the team to more prosperity and popularity.

I have seen some bloggers use so much abbreviation that you feel stupid reading their blogs, because the blogger assumes you know what all those dozens of abbreviations mean. No wonder someone commented that the blogger cannot spell. Which in a way I think is true. If you are too lazy to spell out the full word or words and keep assuming people will keep coming to your blogs and read heaven knows what, then you are in for a downfall. Someone will surely black list your blog and when the oppportunity arise, list your blog as obnoxious or the worst blog. Sure, you attract attention, but the negative type of impression that readers have of you. So, don’t be lazy, buck up and spell the right way instead of using short forms all the way from beginning of your posts to the end.
