I thank for my blessings every day and never take my employment for granted even though I work from home. And I have been gainfully employed to work at a home office since February 2004 until now. As an aside, you might like to know about http://www.oxis.com which is engaged in the research, development and sale of products that counteract the harmful effects of “oxidative stress.” Their products include therapeutic nutraceutical products, cosmeceutical products and proprietary formulations and clinical products.

For more information, you can check out the links to Oxis on Twitter and also Oxis on facebook. I am also growing older but wiser each day when I start seeing more white hairs.

I guess my Heavenly Father has been merciful and gracious to me for this unmerited favor to get a dream job to work at home comfortable where the office is just to turn on the computer and log in to the internet downstairs and rest time is upstairs where I can turn on the air con and nap under my comforters.

I have seen with my own eyes many people keep job hopping and are not confirmed in their jobs. Hence, not everyone is employable. Some of these people may have team work problems or cannot get along with their superiors. These people range from sales supervisors to lawyers and engineers or just about any other professions. When you are no longer employable, you cannot maintain your job and therefore cannot bring food to the table. You will have to eventually depend on your family or friends to help support you month by month. For the lucky ones, they are employed by their relatives out of sympathy. This way, they are unlikely to be sacked and can continue to earn an income regardless of the amount they get.

My mother’s church friend’s son who studies in UK and graduated with a Master’s degree could not pass any interview and has not been working since graduation. What a waste! He is about the same age as my youngest sister. I guess he is just not blessed to hold a job. Perhaps he has very high expectations and salary during the job interview that they could not afford him. Being the only son, his parents did not pressure him to take up lower paying job like working in Mac Donald’s. I guess he is lucky that his parents love him regardless of the situation and still support him when they are still alive.

I was reading a book recently in MPH Readers’ Circle on investment by 2 writers. They talked about value spread analysis of the stocks which means reading the charts and analyse the movement of the herd or crowd to make gains and profits. It is different from fundamental analysis or technical analysis. One of my methods of investment is to buy gold and I have already opened a Gold Investment Account (GIA) with Public Bank. For those with more money to invest, you might like to consider methods to buy gold bullion for long term investment. I am in no hurry to invest in shares as it requires indepth knowledge and timing to buy and sell at the right time and constantly reading the news, financial blogs and to follow The Edge magazine for tips.

My dad is going to China for 25 days, 10 days paid tour by SAGE golden generation society and 15 days with my second sister in Suchou. He will also attend Shanghai Expo with my sister who has taken 4 days leave to entertain him. My dad is a travelholic and has been round the world to many countries on his own. He has been to USA, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Cambodia, China, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia. At the ripe age of 73, he is still healthy and able to walk long distances and he exercises on the treadmill every day to keep himself fit so that he can be useful to the church taking photographs and volunteer for Little Sisters of The Poor. He is indeed living out his golden years.

I started a new food blog at blogger and only pay for the personal domain at USD10 per year. I will only earn USD1 per 1000 impressions from USA and not from other countries. I guess this will take a long time to earn and cover my investments. But I also love to post food photos as it reminds me of the places that I have dined. The photos are beautiful and tempting. So, beware! Watching them can make you salivate and bring about hunger pangs. Since they are meant for USA audience, I have omitted to post the url here in case some jealous blogger start bitching about it in her blog! I have had encounter with a crazy mom blogger who bitch about what I eat in her posts – so it is pointless to boast any picture or blog to Malaysian readers. Less is Best!
