With the internet, it is now possible to get a degree online. Many working adults who have missed the boat of going to the university in their younger days, can now turn to the internet to earn their degree studying part time or even full time at home. They can work at the same time while studying for their qualifications. It is a very convenient arrangement for the varsities to offer this kind of programme to busy working mothers and fathers. If you are on the go all the time travelling around, this might be a good arrangement as you can login to check your home work and tutorial questions online and watch perhaps a Youtube video of the short lectures conducted by the professors. This is the magic and power of using the internet. Everything is instant at the touch of the keypad or click of the mouse. And you can do all this from the comforts of your home.

I have to maximise my time working at home. That means more productive work and less naps. Every year end, I always have plenty of work to do postage marketing of the calendars to potential clients. Each calendar costs 80 cents of A4 size. The total cost to send out a calendar is about $1.50 including stamps, cost of envelopes, etc. And not counting my work to stuff in the calendars and marketing letters. Also this morning, I got USD1.20 from my Google Adsense which I am quite pleased. The amount seems to be increasing a little with more traffic. And it is free money from the internet. So far, I have withdrawn 3 times from Adsense already using Western Union. The progress is slow, but something is better than nothing at all.

Whoa, this morning as I check my emails, there are lots of links for me to review from someone whom I am offering virtual assistance. I like to work at my own pace at a comfortable level and not to be dictated by others. I was once a fool, but not anymore. This time round, I call the shots and not the other party. Not even my relatives. With the year end coming, I have 300 calendars to send out doing tasks like chopping company address on the 300 envelopes, pasting the stamps, print out the addresses, cutting them and pasting again to the envelopes and putting in the calendars plus marketing letter to every envelope. I hope to get this done before my short break or holiday prior to Christmas. In my company, everyone does his part to contribute effectively for continual jobs all year round. And it has been like this for the last few years.

Do you like the Christmas theme of this blog? I like the forrest green color and falling snow flakes. And it reminds me of Christmas which is just next month. Now is the time for some Christmas shopping. It is time to present your loved ones with gifts and presents. I also came upon this web site selling spectacles which you might consider browsing around. I have been wearing spectacles since I was a kid, about 10 years of age. It was short-sightedness or myopia as it is scientifically known. In the link above, there is a $100 discount for eye glasses with coupon. So, if you are staying near the area, you can consider dropping by to replace your old spectacles. What I like about the web site is that you can click on the link to print your own coupon and present it to the sales girl for your discount. Don’t we all love discounts?

As you walk in to the store, you can see various products ranging from eye exams with their on-site eye doctor (walk-in or by appointment) plus ordered glasses to be ready in one hour. There are also Transition Lenses, Miracle Lenses, Contact Lenses, Prescription sunglasses, Non-prescription sunglasses amongst others.

I love the Christmas Season because of the joyous sentiments and spirit of giving. Jesus was born as a babe in a manger on Christmas day – God’s gift to mankind. We also have Santa Claus and the reindeers with carolling groups happily singing away to mark the coming of Christmas. Now is the time for year end shopping again for items like Xbox 360 or Xbox 360 games for your kids.

You might also want to consider getting Xbox 360 Accessories to complement your game playing entertainment. You will also get to practise hand eye coordination and be at the top of your game. I will also be going for a short holiday somewhere in Malaysia just because Christmas to take a break from work. This is the busiest time of the year for me as I need to send out hundreds of marketing letters with calendars to potential clients all over Malaysia to bring in business for next year.

Just last week, I bought 300 A4 size envelopes from Tesco and today will buy 300 pieces of 50 cents stamps in preparation for sending out the calendars for 2010. I hope to be able to send out at least half of the calendars before Christmas this year and the balance by early next year.

In October, I sent my desktop for repair and not much was done to really rectify the software problem even though it was in the repair shop for more than 1 month! And now in November, it is spoilt again when I needed much work to be done using the desktop to print out marketing letters. If only I could repair it myself, it would be immediate and save me the hassle to driving down all the way and it was not fully repaired to my satisfaction. Really, the computer repair service is getting from bad to worse. And there are not many reliable technicians here with just a handful taking up the market share. I think I need to get a book on how to repair a computer. The knowledge gleaned would come in handy in times like this.

Share photos on twitter with Twitpic Christmas is just round the corner and people are rushing to buy gifts for loved ones and friends. I certainly look forward to Christmas every year as it is the most joyous time of the holiday season with Santa Claus, christmas trees and presents. It is also time to get some gift cards to present to your relatives and close friends. The link above leads to a website with a variety of nice gift cards for all ages. There are different themes to suit each sex – for him and for her. You’ll find Nordstrom gift cards, Sur La Table gift cards, Kohl’s gift cards, QVC gift cards, etc. Hence people around the world celebrate Christmas with turkeys, puddings amongst other things.

You can sign up and order the gifts online and have them delivered right to your door steps. Simply pay by your credit card using a safe, secure payment gateway right at home. Talking about Christmas, I will be going for a short holiday somewhere in Malaysia just before 25th December. I guess I deserve a good break from all the labor and hard work at home. Everyday, there is something new for me to complete and it has been like this for the last 5+ years. It is indeed a blessing to be able to work from a home office which saves me petrol costs and time commuting to work or getting stuck in traffic jams. And I work in my pajamas. And it is my sincere prayer that it will continue for as long as possible with all our workers happily employed every day with daily work and wages to collect.

I am still having a backache even after taking muscle relaxant, from my old medication last year. Perhaps I should have seen a doctor to get more medication. I don’t know how I am going to cope with carrying my luggage and a laptop to travel to KL today. There is pain each time I stand up after sitting down for some time. And I cannot walk immediately after standing up as I need to let the muscles stretch first and get used to standing for a few seconds before walking. I feel like an old lady even in my late thirties. Without kids to take care of me in my old age, I don’t know how I am going to cope later on. God help me please.

I have to edit quite a lot of photos today for the company web site and upload them again to the server. Meanwhile, I also need to change the wordings of the company name card of my colleague and for myself so that our business can continue to run without any problems. We have fierce competitors especially in installing tennis courts and now futsal courts in rubberized floors. And today I got an offer to build a web site for an enquiry from mybloglog reader. I have yet to reply him as I am not sure I can commit the time and effort unless he can wait for a week since I might go down to KL this week with my colleague for business. For each business trip, I will always bring along my laptop to check emails daily and to reply plus sending out quotations to people.

Christmas is just round the corner and it is time to buy presents for your loved ones. And if you have a newborn in the family, you might like to get prams so that you can go out with your baby strolling along the parks or even shopping for household items. With the arrival of your new family, you can also invest in baby gyms and play mats. Babies are a curious lot and they love to play with toys and move around exploring their new world. You can also get baby cribs for them to sleep soundly at night.

Alternatively, you your friends are expecting at this time of the year and due for delivery soon, you can also get your dear friends baby gifts in anticipation of the new arrival. Having babies is a blessing and you get to hold and cuddle them. All they do is eat and sleep the whole day and poop as well where you can hire a baby sitter to assist you. As you invest time and money taking care of your babies, they will eventually grow up into adults who can take care of you in return during your golden years.

Most of my WordPress blogs are already changed to those with Christmas themes and as I look at them, there is heart warming feel good feelings coming around. I will also be away next month just before Christmas for a short holiday in Malaysia. It feels good to be able to earn your own money and then spend it – which makes working for income more worthwhile. And in the meantime, I also save up quite a bit for my retirement years.

As my parents are glued to the telly the whole day and we hardly talk, I bought quite a lot of reading material last night – The Star newspapers, The Edge weekly and Personal Money Magazine for November issue. Total costs was RM15.20 but it was worth it. I get enlightened with extra knowledge and how to manage my finances better by reading Personal Money magazine. Also got to know that my tuition classmate’s wife is now a millionaire investing in properties and renting them out to Japanese. And they even shared that their combined earnings were just RM1,200 before venturing into property when she was working as a bank teller. So much for financial freedom just by working for yourself and no one else in the property sector. They now own 11 properties after mortgaging their house for renovation to the condominium unit and apartments. Now they are earning a 5 figure income monthly.
