While almost every concerned citizen in Malaysia is waiting for the opposition to form the new government, I came across this video in Youtube. The anticipation was high on September 16, but alas, nothing happened and Badawi sent most of his Barisan politicians to Taiwan to ‘learn about agriculture’ on that date so that there won’t be any crossovers to Pakatan for those sitting on the fence. With Anwar’s trial looming, I wonder if he is able to form the next government in the near future. Still keeping my fingers cross as Anwar is pro all races and not just bumiputera which UMNO has been fighting for – but the end result is that all government tenders and projects goes to their own UMNOputera cronies to enrich themselves.

Watch the video and have a good laugh!

I wear eyeglasses since I was in primary school before reaching 10 years of age. That was a young age to start wearing glasses, but I guess I was a bookworm and love to read text books in my younger days. That resulted in my short sightedness or myopia with a power of about 200 degrees on the left eye and 250 on the right one. Recently during my window shopping rounds in Gurney Plaza, I got myself quite an expensive pair of glass with transition lens that are able to transform to dark glasses under the glare of the sunlight or ultra violet rays. It was half framed glasses and my lens alone cost me a bomb.

When my mom heard that I agree to pay RM1,550 for the glasses, she hit the roof. Since I had already paid RM400 as deposit, the good thing is that she marched to the spectacles shop and politely requested for a further discount which after much haggling, it was reduced further by RM150. It is good to have a mum like that as I saved RM150 because of the second visit to my shop. It was a difficult position for the spectacles shop supervisor as he had to write a special report on why he agreed to reduce to a further RM150 after the price has been agreed upon with deposit payment. But like all boss’s children, I guess he will be let off easily. He kept reply my mom that he does not know what to do when she pressed him for further discount. That was rather humorous.

If I had known that ZenniOptical.com sells Stylish Prescription Glasses Online from $8, I would have checked this site out instead of paying a bomb for the same thing. It seems that you will find a huge selection of frames, with single vision lens, sunsensor (potochromic) lens, tinted sunglasses lens, bifocal lens and progressive lens. The Secret to their Low Prices is that they sell only their own manufactured frames direct to the customer, with no middlemen and virtually no advertising budget.

Also, they have new frames that have just arrived. And you can also check out their site and add comments here.
