I came back from KL a few days ago. Was there for 3 days 2 nights in KL. We drove down by car to attend to business and then drove back to Penang which took about 5 hours per trip. This time, we did not stop in Tapah to buy fruits as it was raining heavily. It is dangerous to drive fast on a rainy day because the brake may not work so well on wet roads and slippery floors. The rain came to a drizzle when we reached Penang at about 7:00pm. The rain is good for the car because it cools down the engine which may be heated up for long drives. I might need to go back to KL next week, but at the moment, it is not confirmed which date.

Some bloggers are still earning money from PPP in their secret blogs though they claim not to do any more paid blogging. As for me, PPP is a thing in the past now. I no longer earn from the lucrative paid blogging work. When one window is shut, another door is open. Currently, I am now earning US dollars writing articles on a freelance basis for a client from India and another from Nigeria. They are good paymasters and I get paid after each assignment. If you are like me, you might want to venture into writing articles to earn US dollars. Research can be done easily through the internet for substance and material, in case you need them.

Twitter I just joined Twitter a few moments ago. This is a Web 2.0 program to help you get in touch with your friends and to know what they are doing currently. That’s provided they have entered short brief information on their goings-on for the day. As it is, I see some familiar faces who have already joined the program from my gmail account. They are liewcf, bernard chan, rajawang and 5xmom. As I am in the quest to promote my blogs to the world wide web, I am finding ways to join Web 2.0 programs to achieve this. Posting comments on high traffic blogs also helps. Have you joined Twitter yet?

I have booked online through Air Asia to fly to Kota Kinabalu (KK) from 20th to 22nd June 2008. It is on a Friday to Sunday where there is less work. I did try to check out malaysianairlines.com of MAS Zero Fare advertised in the press now but found that it was about RM100 more expensive with transit in KL. With Air Asia, I can fly direct from Penang’s airport to KK in Sabah. The the cost? For 2 persons return is RM814 including taxes and RM3 per bag to check in per person. After I have gone to KK, I would have been to all states in Malaysia. I was in Bintulu, Sarawak in late 2006 and early this year, I went to Terengganu by car. I have been to Kelantan many times for business previously. And I have also been to all the other states in the west coast from Johor to Perlis. I have also stayed in a local hotel in Johor some time back, also for business.

Since I hate walking, I don’t plan to hike up Mount Kinabalu which will take at least 3 days. What I have heard about Mt. Kinabalu is that it is about two times higher than Penang Hill and the path there is not as steep and difficult compared to Penang Hill. So, next time I can boast to my grandchildren that I have hiked up Penang Hill by foot. Because of the MAS zero fare, my youngest sister and her church friends plan to hike up Mount Kinabalu sometime in November. And you can book online until 19th of this month of May.

I was in Sunway Pyramid (SP) last night and wanted to dine in a new pasta restaurant near the entrance of SP in the new wing. It is set up by Pasta de Waruku Singapore for this Japanese Casual Pasta & Restaurant. When I enter, I was told by the waitress that at the moment, it is by invitation only but nevertheless allowed us to enter as we happen to be there. She further told us that all dining is on the house.

I had crabmeat with fetucine and cocoa shake. Then we shared a green tea ice cream. There are no photos here as the batteries of my digital camera happen to be flat. What we ate was worth more than RM70 with taxes but thanks to their promotion, we dined for free. We happen to be in the right place at the right time. For those who miss out on the free dining, do not fret. You can say pay RM100 and get back RM100 dining voucher which means that you only pay half on 9th May 2008.
