My first credit card was from Southern Bank’s Direct Access for graduates and it was an average credit credit card. It was not too difficult to apply for one. In Malaysia, as long as you earn RM18,000 per annum or RM1,500 per month, you are eligible to apply for your credit card. And the credit limit is usually RM6,000 or so. In Singapore, it is higher. You need to earn S$30,000 per year to get your credit card which I got mine while working there. It has been cancelled already since I return to Penang, Malaysia. It is very convenient to just carry your credit cards and not having to keep too much cash in your wallets.
