My dad just came back with 3 backpacks from Reliance for the trip to China. The backpacks are blue and black in color with the Reliance logo. He has to pay for the insurance which was RM43 per person. The insurance has a wide coverage from AIG Assist. Some of the AIG Assist outstanding benefits and features include the following:
High Medical Expenses Reimbursement up to RM300,000 including your follow-up medical treatment in Malaysia up to RM30,000.
Hospital income pays RM250 for every complete day the insured is hospitalized whilst overseas up to maximum 60 days.
Unlimited medical evaluation and repatriation cover due to accident and illness.
Cancellation benefit covers loss or irrecoverable travel and accommodation expenses paid in advance prior to departure from Malaysia
Personal accident lump sum payment of RM200,000 upon death or total and permanent disablement due to accident
Loss of travel document reimbursement up to RM5,000 for additional accommodation, travel expenses and telecommunication bills.
The above are some of the benefits that I have highlighted and not all are listed there. And the term insurance covers up to 182 days per trip with maximum age limit up to 80 years old. And death from injury resulting in acts of terrorism and hijacking is also covered. This is a comprehensive term insurance policy and since the 911 incident in New York, travel insurance is now more expensive.
