Yesterday, I managed to successfully booked and confirmed our flight tickets to Pengkalan Chepa Airport in Kota Bahru, Kelantan from Penang’s Bayan Lepas Airport. I booked through Firefly, a new local domestic aircraft servicing different states in Malaysia. Firefly is the only local aircraft servicing direct flights from Penang to Kelantan. If I had booked via Air Asia or Malaysian Airlines, I will have to transit south in Kuala Lumpur and then fly north again to Kota Bahru, the capital of Kelantan. It was a last minute decision, and I booked 2 days before departure on Monday tomorrow at 7:50pm from Bayan Lepas Airport in Penang and arriving 1 hour later at 8:45pm in Pengkalan Chepa Airport in Kelantan.
As I will be staying overnight in Kelantan with my colleague, I shall be returning the following evening departing from Kelantan at 9:00pm and arriving in Penang’s Bayan Lepas airport at 10:00pm. This is a ticketless booking and all that is needed is a printed form showing the confirmation number, time and date of arrival and departure. The internet has certainly served its purpose allowing booking of flights online.
