I don’t know how a baby bird not more than 2 inches could drop 6 feet down to the bathroom floor from its nest. When I picked it up, it was still breathing heavily and put it back into its nest. A few moments later, the bird still still and no longer breathing. What a pity. It was the second one to hatch after its older and more dominant sibling which is still very much alive. At the slightest shake of the nest, thinking its mother bird is there to feed it, the birdling will open its mouth very wide. I was hoping the two birds will grow to adulthood but looks like only one will probably survive.
