I was napping upstairs in my bed when I heard the loud thunder and quickly went down to check on my computer, possibly to switch off the modem and broadband line. Then the rain came but it was for a while. The thunder stopped after that and I decided to continue with some blogging. Do turn off your modem and disconnect the line if you hear any thunder in the distance. The thunder is actually harmless, but the lightning can cause irreparable damage to your modem if it strikes.
