The photo above shows a newly hatched baby bird with the egg shells removed by the parents. It is so tiny and featherless, just like a black chicken defeathered and slaughtered. I hope this tiny bird will grow up to take wing and fly off unlike its older siblings which were devoured by a cat. The photo below shows its mouth opened wide begging for food.
