Yesterday, my colleague and I went to Perlis to see a site and the journey took about 2 hours from Butterworth. After taking some photos, he decided to look for a highway instead of backtracking to where we came from. Without a map for guidance, it was simply “hantam” and hopefully this was the right road. My, we took a very long route even going to south of Thailand near Bukit Kayu Hitam before he decided to ask for directions and finally found the North-South Highway to drive back to Penang. The trip itself took at least 5 hours. I guess the next time, I better get a road map before embarking on any outstation trips to prevent being lost and taking a longer route.
