Corum’s history is marked by an impressive succession of genuine horological masterpieces, associated studding designs and original technical innovations in a range of patented models. These include the astonishing Montre-Monnaie (coin watch), the avant-garde Romvlvs, the Golden Bridge and the peerless Admiral’s Cup Tides. These exquisite pieces recreate the sophisticated and exquisite craftsmanship of yesteryear; with dials hand-printed in the custom of antique miniatures or enameled in the ‘grand feu’ style, or even engraved by hand in mother-of-pearl.
Brilliantly colored Toucans are surrounded with tropical frangipani (plumeria) flowers, creating a scene that one can only enjoy. The hand-painted miniature on a mother-of-pearl dial evokes feelings of harmony and pleasure. The 18-carat white gold case set with diamonds of 3.30 carats forms a fitting frame for this beautifully matched pair. This 2006 addition to Corum’s Artisan Collection is limited to only 50 pieces worldwide and no two are the same in coloration.
