The story of James Bong, who inspired millions when he won the largest-ever jackpot in Malaysia casino history, will be made in to a thrilling movie. Sources close to the reclusive private investigator, who has labored for decades in low-paying cases of cheating spouses and insurance fraud, finally hit the big time when he won RM400 million at the baccarat table.
“I am over the moon,” he was quoted as saying, figuratively. “After all these years of being a conscientious worker and being short-changed by dubious clients, I have shown that people can still achieve their riches if they just hold on to their dreams and hold their cards close to their chests.”
The film will portray Bong in a more realist side, he will instead be a man whose heart has been broken many times at earlier games of poker, blackjack, roulette and slot machines. There were times when, in the depths of despair, he even considered playing Russian roulette. “This is Bong, James Bong for the new millennium,” his agent gushes.
