When I have installed Wordpress previously, the Rich Text Editor (RTE) was turned on by default. Due to some bugs in this editor, I find that I am unable to add YouTube video html code to Wordpress without encountering some errors as you switch from RTE to the normal pane. As a result, I am unable to view YouTube videos directly in my Wordpress blog.

To getaround this problem, and thanks to Lilian, I found out that I need to switch off the RTE which is at the Dashboard / User / and on the bottom right corner, uncheck Use RTE. This solves the problem.
