I had my first boyfriend who as my fellow project buddy and classmate in the university for 6 years. We did think about getting married and I was renting a room from him for 3 years.
He got me my diamond engagement ring of a 5-carat solitaire Princess-cut D grade flawless diamond and paid with his Platinum credit card! No, that was just wishful thinking. Anyway, I did get my perfect engagement ring of a gold band as a sign of our relationship which was more affordable since we just started work. It wasn’t exactly an engagement ring as we did not get engaged anyway. Neither did I get him mens wedding rings as he is not the type to flash such bands around.
Due to work commitment where your job comes first above everything else while working in Singapore, we slowly drifted apart and finally went our separate ways. I still have the ring he gave me and he gets to keep my cupboard, table and single bed in my room. I was a tenant in his flat before I finally got my very own flat.
I have found my soul-mate now, though we don’t intend to get married, I am happy with the status quo. We have been together for 3+ long years. Because of my age, (I am still young) I am more realistic now, less idealistic of my partner and more forgiving, magnanimous and generous.
Anyway, for those who are choosing wedding rings, or beautiful wedding bands for your traditional wedding or a modern groovy one, please make sure you choose the right ultimate wedding band that fits your finger, not too tight and neither too loose!
