Dinner at Won Kok Restaurant, Gurney Plaza

Just last night, I dined in this new restaurant known as Won Kok which was opened last week in Gurney Plaza’s basement floor. It was my second time within a week and I ordered the same “emperor’s” dish, being someone who appreciates good food.
Let the above picture speaks for itself. As you can see, it was full of black shitake mushrooms, my favorite, and real tangy white crab meat with bits of dried brown scallops sprinkled generously. Also added were four big prawns and also mock red crabstick. The noodles were Hong Kong style of fried hard crispy yellow strands poured over with the thick oyster sauce gravy like any local hot plate noodles. It was pure ambroisia! No wonder this little restaurant is always crowded with diners queuing up since its grand opening.
My friend also ordered the same dish which came together and I had their boiled special drink with ginseng and red dates but I thought it was too sweet for my liking; so the next visit, I ordered mineral water!
