Pay Per Post Title
At last there is a way for blogger to earn money from their blogs. You need to submit your blog for approval before you can take part and you need to ensure the contents are original. PayPerPost has offers like USD5.00 or even USD12.00. I have accumulated up to USD36.50 for 4 posts as shown below in my PayPerPost dashboard.

Pay Per Post

You need to alternate the PayPerPost blogs with other non-PPP posts as they cannot be together. This is certainly a new revolution in earning money online for the diligent bloggers. Some of the offers need your blog to have some PR ranking for the higher paying offers. In my opinion, this is a faster way to make money online for new web sites that are at least 3 months old. Folks, if you do join PayPerPost, please put down philin(AT)streamyx.com as your referral, just replace (AT) with @ so that I can earn USD5. I need to post 10 posts before I can add another blog. The amount will go into my Paypal after I have put up the posts for 30 days upon approval. If there are any PPP posts here, I will categorise them under Products.

Fishing Village Restaurant
Last night, my boss and I had our dinner at this obscure hidden restaurant by the beach in a village. We got to know this little restaurant by word-of-mouth from my sister’s Intel colleagues. It was supposed to be my treat to my boss, but he ended up paying RM95 for the meal. I ordered frozen lobster which sells at RM10 per 100gm as compared to fresh live lobster at RM18 per 100 gm. So they prepared 700 gm frozen lobster thermidor as shown in Photos 1 and 2. It was full of lobster meat, creamy cheese, button mushrooms, onions, spring onions and crispy bits sprinkled on top of the lobster meal. The meal cost RM70 and the succulent white crustacean meat tantalized my taste buds. It was pure ambroisia! I also order plain stir-fried brocolli (photo 3) and chinese ‘sar hor fun’ (photo 4) which is rice batter layer cut up and fried with vegetables, garlic and prawns. Let the above picture speaks for itself.

The address of Fishing Village Restaurant is 765, MK2, Teluk Bahang, 11050 Penang and the telephone number for reservation is 604-885 2084.

Chicken Rice Shop
Recently my partner boss and I went for dinner at Gurney Plaza’s Chicken Rice Shop at the basement beside the food court. I have taken some pictures as shown above. Photo 1 shows the roasted chicken that comes in a set with rice, soup, dessert (Photo 3), ‘taugeh’ (or bean sprout), pounded ginger and chilly sauce with a drink that my friend ordered. I had ‘pie ti’ (Photo 2) and ‘kailan’ or chinese kale (Photo 4). I hardly take rice so as not to add to the carbohydrate intake. I guess my selection of dishes are healthy and mainly vegetables.

‘Pie Ti’ is a cup shaped fried batter filled with julienned turnip, carrots, onions and shitake mushrooms stir-fried into a mixture, seasoned with soya sauce and oyster sauce.

I was surfing around and discovered a cool blog on various topics. The one I particularly like is Facts about Eiffel Tower in France. It has been my dream to visit Europe some day and friends and relatives have brought back photos on this majestic tower in Paris. I have the financial means, that is the spare cash to spend on but need to look for a right opportunity to visit with friends. Another place I wish to be in is the snow-capped Mount Titlis in Switzerland. You can go up there by cable car and ski down the slopes.

I have been to USA in 1998, with stopovers in Japan and Hong Kong. Went alone with a group tour from Singapore but it would have been much more enjoyable to go with a loved one.

Nokia 6101I got a new handphone recently from one of the Nokia phone booths in Bukit Jambul Shopping Complex. My generous boss paid RM500 while I forked out the remaining RM280. It was supposed to be RM859 but I got it at RM780. It is a camera phone and provides a useful back up in case my Kodak EasyShare C643 Digital Camera runs out of battery. It has Bluetooth feature to transfer images to my computer, but I have yet to explore this function. Maybe I need to get a Bluetooth detector for my computer. Talk about gadgets! I guess it is not often you see a lady talk about gadgets which are more of a guy’s stuff. Since I studied Computer Technology in my undergrad days, I guess I am quite comfortable dabbling with new ‘men’s’ toy gadgets. By the way, I also get paid blogging for one of the gadget blogs.

The reason I got a new phone is that my old clam-shell Motorola phone has some problem in recharging; you see the recharger is not securely fixed or connected to the phone and the design is obsolete. I have talked about getting a new phone for some time and finally decided to get one for convenience of charging the phone. The features of Nokia 6101 are it is user-friendly and easy to navigate. However, the calculator feature is not as easy to use compared to my old phone which displays all the buttons on the screen and I just need to use arrow keys to select them. Other than that, all the other features are improved and much better than the old phone.

Open Season 2006
When a domesticated grizzly named Boog (Martin Lawrence) gets lured into leaving the creature comforts of home by a fast-talking mule deer named Elliott (Ashton Kutcher), he finds himself lost in the woods just three days before hunting season begins. Forced to “rough it” in the great outdoors, Boog goes native, rallying all the forest animals to take back their home and send the hunters packing. Interact with Beth, Shaw, and all your animal favorites from the Open Season film. Throw skunk bombs, hurl rabbits, use acorn-firing squirrels, and pull outrageous woodland pranks to scare the pants off the hunters. Ride the rapids on a floating outhouse, zip through tunnels in a crazy mine cart ride, and take on more madcap adventures as Boog discovers how to go from “Mild” to “Wild”. This animated flick was a pleasure to watch as I viewed it 2 days ago on a Saturday in Gurney Plaza’s Golden Screen Cinema.

My boss is in his fifties, yet he is very muscular and fit. He works hard for his company specializing in building sports surfaces. He is able to lift very heavy drums of tennis court paint, one on each hand. Likewise, building lost muscles tissue as you age is important to maintain youth and balance. This is where Sytropin HGH or Human Growth Hormone comes in to rejuvenate our bodies. It is a hormone that is produced in the pituitary gland in the brain which helps in tissue repair, cell regeneration in the bones, muscles and vital organs and supports the immune system in combating infection and disease. As I have a tendency to have the common flu, I think there is no harm in trying Sytropin to build up my resistance. To be frank, I have seen the doctor twice last month and still having the last few traces of flu in me. I still take multi-vitamins, royal jelly, probiotics and the like for good health and may consider adding Sytropin to my nutritional supplements.

Smelling sniffing dogs

smelling hamster
There are too many dogs sniffing around and if you are not careful, one might just come up to you and sniff your butt out! :) But this is a harmless picture and looks incredibly cute. Even for the pet golden hamster, similar to one that I used to keep as an undergraduate student to relieve me of study pressure. Luckily mine was not that cheeky as in this picture with those black beady eyes that begs for a carrot stick.

Air Asia Plane Fell Down
Someone responded in my YouTube from Brunei that Air Asia crashed and I did a searched in Google under blogs and found this picture. For obvious reasons, it was not covered in the press as everyone is rushing to go home in this double festive season of Deepavali and Hari Raya. Talk about transparency! As an aside, in my car trip back to Penang from Kuala Lumpur this morning, there was a long trailer that had an accident near Ipoh the blocked the entire 2 to 3-lane road. As a result, the traffic jam was kilometres long and God knows how long these motorists have been waiting.

Fish and co restaurant
Recently we had dinner at Fish & Co Restaurant on the ground floor facing Gurney Park Condominium and the garden of Gurney Plaza. This restaurant serves top notch seafood with excellent service. The waiters are young and good-looking. I ordered a seafood combo of fish fillet, grilled prawns with luscious white tartar sauce, chips and saffron rice with raisins and a slice of lemon. It also has calamari or sotong but I asked for more prawns instead of the high cholesterol calamari.

Photo 1 shows my seafood combo while photo 2 shows the 3 types of sauces of white mayonnaise, raw chopped garlic and chilly sauce. Since raw garlic is supposed to prevent cancer, I asked for additional helping and the waiter kindly obliged with several rounds. Photo 3 is a closeup of the prawns with tantalizing white sauce sprinkled with green herbs. Photo 4 was what my partner ordered consisting of fried dory fish fillet and potato chips. You will notice that in this restaurant, all food are served in steel frying pans straight from the cooking stove. It is kind of ingenious to serve this way with obviously bigger portions of everything. The food tasted good and bids me to come back everytime I walk past Fish & Co. Due to the price, we occasionally dine here but not everyday. Otherwise, it may burn a hole in my partner’s pocket. Just joking!

The first time I dined in this place, after paying our bills, we were given 2 mints and a free velvet coin wallet in the shape of their logo, a fish. My sisters dined one time and got an attractive writing notepad. It is not always that they give out souvenirs but if they like you, they will give you something to remember after payment.

My Super Ex-Girlfriend

Last night I watched this romantic cheeky comedy with my friend in Gurney Plaza. This is a tale of a guy who’s a psycho-chick magnet hooking up with a somewhat deranged super-femme fatale. It dots all the Is and crosses all the Ts, and everyone seems to be having fun, but something is missing; or rather, too much is put in.

The titular heroine, G-Girl (Uma Thurman), is such a do-gooder that the neuroses and borderline insanity of her alliterative alter-ego Jenny Johnson are almost too hard to take. Maybe it would have taken too long to paint her as your standard uber-being driven apart from humanity (and men) by her vast powers. As it stands, things get too wild with this super-crazy lady and they … they’re resolved far too conveniently.

Inconsistencies aside, Thurman is a joy to watch as are Luke Wilson as the harassed loverboy; The office’s Rainn Wilson as his best buddy and Anna Faris as the sweetie from the office. As ultra-romances go, it’s a darn sight livelier than the staid, overly reverent Superman Returns.

If you’re publishing info that might come back to haunt you, then my suggestion is you drop your site from the cache.

Why do I suggest this? Because it gives you a change to CHANGE THE OFFENDING CONTENT quickly. If you removed it from your website, it’s gone. If Google or Yahoo or anyone has cached it, then you might be in big trouble, because removing it could take years.

Doesn’t the Cache affect my rankings?

No. Being in the Cache of a search engine will have no impact at all on your search engine rankings. In fact, Google recently took the time to clarify their approach on indexing content. They are okay with you “opting-out” from their Cache.

Is it hard to removed your website from search engine’s caches?

No, it’s really easy to eliminate your website from search engine caches. You just have to add a simple code to the header template of your blog.

Place the following code in your header section:

Curry may stave off Alzheimer's

Curry could help improve mental agility and stave off Alzheimer’s disease. It is thought that curcumin, the part of the spice turmeric which gives curry its distinctive yellow color, was responsible for the effiects. Dr Tze-Pin Ng from the National University of Singapore, who led the research, told New Scientist magazine it was remarkable “that apparently one needs to consume curry once in a while” to improve mental performance. Previous research has suggested curcumin inhibits the build-up of amyloid plaques – harmful protein deposits – in the brains of those with Alzheimer’s disease.

Moreover, compounds found in curry and onions may help prevent colon cancer in those at risk. Patients with pre-cancerous polyps in the colon who took a pill containing a combination of curcumin and quercetin, an antioxidant found in onions – experienced a marked reduction in both the size and number of polyps.

The potential of  curcumin to prevent and/or treat cancer in the lower intestines surfaced in studies in lab rats fed curry, as well as observations of Asians who consume a lot of curry. Quercetin has also been shown to have anti-cancer potential.

So, the next time you meet a friend’s friend of the opposite sex, why not be friendly and helpful, and who knows, he or she could be your future soul mate for life, if possible. As someone said, “Success in life is not how much you know, but WHO you know.” So, try to be nice to people that you come across, even an acquantance, for you never know you may need his/her help in future.

As an aside, my current boss who employs me to work from home office was one of my web site clients and it has been more than 2 years now since I started working for him in sports surface building in the early year of 2003.
