Adding AutoPinger Button to your Blog

Autopinger.com buttonVinson’s Autopinger.com was recently launched to provide free automatic ping service for anyone with a blog. As a side track, Google’s defines “Ping” as Packet Internet Groper. A utility that forwards data packets to check the quality of a link or verify the connection of a machine to the Internet. Pinging in the blog world is a similar concept. There are certain services that scans blog regularly for updates and publishes the recently updated blogs. So once you’ve updated your blog, you should inform the service by sending a PING to the service. Most of the blog software have the ability to ping on their own such as Wordpress with a list of ping urls. A blog ping contains your blog name, the url and it is usually in the XML format.

As I copy and paste the automatically generated code in Autopinger.com, the button was not shown. Hence, I replace those characters for spaces, slashes, colons, etc like % and fine tune the code and “Voila! I got my Ping Button!”
