Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God.
| I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
| Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him.
| Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
| Then said Jesus unto his disciples, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
| But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
| But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint..
| And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patient waiting for Christ.
| For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
| Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
| But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
| Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
| Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him and cleave unto him.
| Follow peace with all men and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
| Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
| To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.
|
Because it is written, be ye holy; for I am holy.
| For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.
| Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
| And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
| But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
| Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
| Howbeit, when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
| Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
| Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
| But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
| For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
| While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
| Dearly beloved, a-venge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
| Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grie-vous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceble fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
| The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
| Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath.
|
It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
| The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
| It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.
| The Lord is far from the wicked but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
| If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.
| If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
| Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent his son to be the propitiation for our sins.
| The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increased learning.
| Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
| With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.
| Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.
| Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.
| A soft answer turn away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
| Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
| Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
| Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
| He that hath my commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
| The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
| For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power.
| Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
| Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
| Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
| Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
| Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
